SEAT at Institute of Aquaculture Research Conference, 5th July 2010

The University of Stirling Institute of Aquaculture (IoA) conference 2010 was aimed at providing an opportunity for academic and industry liaison and discussion on the latest research being carried out at the Institute.  The conference involved researchers from around the globe introducing their work and explaining how it may impact future sustainability within the aquaculture industry.  The conference included a series of oral lectures by students, as well as key-note speeches from Director Brian Austin and Mr Peter Hajipieris, Chief Technical, Sustainability and External Affairs Officer at Birds Eye Iglo.

A number of students involved with the SEAT project had the opportunity to showcase their work at this very well attended research conference.  Six SEAT-related students had posters at the event, two of which were shortlisted for prises by a judging panel.

The posters provided an opportunity to highlight the work of SEAT to a winder audience, including academic research staff and industry representatives from throughout the UK.  For more information about the IoA and photos from the conference please see http://www.aqua.stir.ac.uk/research-conference/2010/
